Construction of Piezo Cylinders
The standard construction material for our piezo cylinders,
APC 850-E ceramic, is a variation of our APC 850 ceramic,
specially formulated for cylinders. APC 850 material is a high
density, fine grain, soft PZT ceramic that exhibits a high
dielectric constant, high electromechanical coupling, high
charge sensitivity, and a high Curie point. Clean, noise-free
responses make this ceramic a material of choice for low-power
sensing devices:
- ultrasonic or Doppler flow meters
- gas flow sensors
- other flow or level sensors
- sensors for ultrasonic NDT / NDE applications
- sensors for inspecting construction materials, welds, etc.
in automotive, structural, or other products
Alternatively, APC 850 ceramic is an excellent material for
high performance transducers for medical imaging applications.
