Coyote Case Utilizes Piezo Technology
Introducing a great new product from Coyote Case, LLC using APC International’s piezo technology! The Coyote Case is a durable smartphone case that hides a powerful personal panic alarm coupled with an automated bluetooth-enabled security app. The Coyote Case makes use of a piezo disc bender in the personal panic alarm to produce an ear piercing 100dB of sound (the equivalent of a smoke detector or car alarm). The alarm generated by the piezo deters a would-be attacker while alerting others in the immediate area and remotely that you need help. When the piezo alarm is activated, the Coyote Case app automatically sends a SMS text alert with your GPS location coordinates to your pre-selected contacts.
Coyote Case founder Jonathan Page recently spent the day at APC meeting with Dr. Weicheng Chen. Dr. Chen is formerly a lab director at Penn State University’s Center for Acoustics and Vibration. Dr. Chen now works hand-in-hand with American Piezo on many acoustics related projects. APC is pleased to have been given the opportunity to work with the team at Coyote Case to implement piezo technology into their innovative new smartphone case that will no doubt save lives.
